So… I finished the Persona 3 anime movies this weekend. By the second one, I was cold on them and felt like they were mostly fan service. I would only recommend it to someone who has already played and enjoyed the game. But I trudged on. And, oh fuck: that final episode broke me. I should have seen it coming. I mean, we know how this ends… Oh my god. I wept like a stupid baby. It was so good. It elevated the story that I already loved. Giving the protagonist more of a voice and a giving no fucks character was so right on.
So, truly brilliant.
