star struck

Over the weekend, Gary and I went out with the neighbors. We stopped for dinner at Suppenküche, a german restaurant in the city (a cool place, jessica had taken me to it before). And, as should be expected for Saturday night at 9:00pm, the place was packed, so we tried to squeeze into the bar, waiting for a table.

christina from roadrulesAs we were standing at the bar (love the dun-kel), I noticed the girl standing in front of me. I kept looking at her thinking, “wait, I think I know her…” I was sure that I had gone to high school with her, or something. Being the ever so classy son-of-a-bitch that I am, I of course, just tapped her on the shoulder and asked, “hey, don’t I know you? Did we go to school together, or something?” and I’m sure it came off as the worst pick-up line.

But she smiled, and said “I don’t think so… you might though, I was on a really bad reality tv show.” Turns out she was Christina from MTV’s RoadRules Australia, and some other RealWorld vs. Roadrules show that apparently is on now.

I felt bad about bothering her, and I’m sure she gets it all the time, but she was really pretty nice about it. She continued to talk with Andrew and myself for a little while, where we were able to ask her all the standard reality show contestant(?) questions: what it was like, how accurate the show was, and if she regretted it.
