So it appears that I’m going on a bit of a reading spree lately. After years of reading little more than computer manuals and reference books, I’ve started it up again, and it feels great!
Last week on the plane I finished crichton’s new novel, Prey. (it was pretty good—typical crichton stuff—fast and easy to read. Similar overtones to sphere. I can’t help but wonder how long until the movie is released. Hopefully, it isn’t as dreadful as the sphere and congo adaptations were.)
now I’m in the middle of Neil Gaiman’s American Gods (so far, so good, though a little out there.). To be immediately followed by Perdido Street Station.
I figure if I can completely factor television out of my life, and can pick up an additional 1.5 hours(200 pages)/day to read. And what am I going to miss? Just Shoot Me? Pfft.
