Purity Ring at The Ritz—a shitty little venue in San Jose.
I took the girls to this one, and while it was super awesome, it was also kind of sad.
I remember these guys filling out the Fox theatre in oakland. And that show was stunning… This second run just mostly made me feel like they were trying to pay back these incredible effects… The setup is a bunch of LED fans, spinning in two planes to give this incredible effect of illusion. Photos, videos can’t capture it. It is STUNNING.
I don’t know why they aren’t capturing more—the last album was great, and they’re still incredible live.
