like it or not, you're out.

What the hell is this?

So I’m working on my mac (which I’ve painfully re-installed OS X 10.2.2 on) and I’ve got several apps open; photoshop, suitcase, illustrator, quark (in classic), iTunes, etc.

And all of the sudden, I get logged out.

I can see the finder quit behind the app I’m in, and then, BAM! I’m logged out, looking at the login window. No kernel panic, no weird errors, nothing.

I logged in immediately afterwards as >console, to see if any of my open apps were still running. nope. All gone. This is the 3rd time this has happened to me this week.

I thought OS X was supposed to eliminate this kind of thing. Apps would crash but the system would stay up, uneffected.
