Back in the day, I loved, loved, loved this double album remix/dj set, The K&D Sessions. It was different. With Roni Size, and Depeche Mode, and Bone Thugs ‘N Harmony… it was an eclectic mix. Hell, that it had two versions of “Bug Poweder Dust”, absolutely tickeled me. That’s still just a jam.
Imagine my surprise when, 25 years later, Kruder and Dorfmeister announce they’re going to do it live. How the hell are they going to pull this off? Guest vocals? (likely not). Is this just going to be two old german dudes pressing buttons? (god, I hope not).
I am happy to report… man, that was a hell of a show. They sold out the Fox… (which, san francisco… we are the home of somaFM. it tracks). The double drum kits, the acompanyment… heck man, even the vocal tracks sounded different (maybe a little cleaner?). It was absolutely something.
