Wow. This sure seems like a shitty deal.
From stevenf: it appears that photoshop7 saves jpgs with lots and lots of XML metadata in them. While not a problem in itself (aside from the fact that it balloons up the file size), Internet Explorer 6 for windows completely craps out when trying to display one of these XML-rich jpgs, and will stop displaying all images for the rest of the browsing session.
i’m going to claim some points for causing this on steven’s other site snapclub, where I uploaded several photoshop jpgs today, causing everyone with Win IE6 browsers to die. ;)
